Rake & Revenue
VEGAS is a PvP-first platform. That means no house opponents, no rigged odds — just clean, competitive poker between real players. To keep the platform running and reward the community, VEGAS charges small, transparent fees across game modes.
Here’s exactly how the platform earns revenue across different game types.
🃏 Cash Games – Pot Rake
In cash games, we apply a small rake on each pot — a common and well-established model across all poker platforms.
Rake: 2% per pot
Only applied if a flop is dealt
Max rake in $: 5$ (capped)
💡 Example: On a $100 pot, the rake would be $2.
🔄 Contributed Rake System
VEGAS uses a Contributed Rake model to calculate rakeback in cash games. That means each player’s share of the rake — and their cashback — is based on how much they actually contributed to the pot.
💡 Example: If three players contribute $50, $30, and $20 to a $100 pot:
The 2% rake is $2
Cashback is split proportionally:
Player A (50% of pot) gets rakeback based on $1 contributed
Player B (30%) → $0.60 contributed
Player C (20%) → $0.40 contributed
This model ensures rakeback is fair and performance-based: the more action you take, the more you earn back.
🪙 Sit & Go – Entry Fee-Based Model
VEGAS follows the traditional Sit & Go structure found on major poker sites.
Players pay a Buy-In + Fee when registering
100% of the buy-in goes to the prize pool
The fee (typically 4%) goes to VEGAS
💡 Example: In a $104 Sit & Go, $100 goes to the prize pool, and $4 is retained as platform revenue.
This system keeps things familiar for experienced players and scales well across all skill levels.
🏆 Tournaments – Upfront Fee Model
Like Sit & Go, tournaments VEGAS also uses a registration fee model.
Players pay a single entry that includes both the buy-in and a platform fee
Fee is a small percentage (usually 4%)
Prize pool = sum of all buy-ins, 100% of it goes to players
💡 Example: In a $50 + $2 tournament, $50 goes to the prize pool, and $2 is VEGAS revenue.
This aligns with industry expectations while keeping fees fair and transparent.
📝 Where Does This Rake Go?
A large portion of the rake collected is redistributed every week to stakers through our staking-based cashback system. This ensures that our most loyal and active players are directly rewarded from real platform activity — not inflation.
